Spring Wreath
March 29, 2014A cheerful spring wreath for any door/wall/window, etc.
It’s crazy to think that I didn’t do any decorating for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day or Easter this year. My mind is most definitely elsewhere. Now that the nursery is 95% done, I got the craft bug again. I made this cheerful yarn wreath the other day. It took all of 20 minutes and the only thing I needed to buy was the yarn.
I used one skein of yarn which was 100 yards. Originally I wanted more of a messy look with the yarn overlapping, but I wasn’t sure how much yarn I would need and I didn’t feel like going back to the store for another skein. To be safe, I wrapped each loop tightly against the previous loop. In the end I had a few feet of yarn left over so I wrapped the extra on top of the other loops. Moral of the story, if you want more of a messy look, I would advise you to get 2 skeins of yarn.
{Supplies: wreath, yarn, push pins/tacks, flowers}
{Starting at the back with a knot and a pushpin.}
{Once the whole wreath was wrapped, I kept wrapping.}
{I put pushpins through the flower stems to keep them in place.}
{I pinned a ribbon loop on the back so it would be easy to hang.}
{I put silver tacks through the centers of the pink/peach flowers.}
Adorable!!!! I recognize those flowers!! Xoxo
So stinkin’ cute!
