Miss to Mrs.
August 2, 2012Going from a Miss to a Mrs is a big deal and it should be celebrated!
As I mentioned in my previous post, it was my friend Natalie’s bachelorette party this past weekend. Our other friend Kira and I helped plan it. Kira was the one that kept me in order by telling me when to be where, how much things cost, can we do this, can we do that, etc. No joke….something about my own wedding planning completely fried my brain. I was on information overload for far too long that I was having absolutely no memory when it came to things Kira was telling me- it was bad! However, I feel like I came through when it came to decorating the room, getting snacks and making a couple reservations :)
Natalie’s MOH had told me about a cute banner that said “Miss to Mrs.” I don’t know if I’ve been living under a rock for the past couple years or what, but I’d never heard this phrase in this way- like as a banner. I just went from a Miss to a Mrs, so I should have realized how cute it sounded when I would say it, but it never clicked. When she told me about it, I thought it was the cutest saying ever, so I figured I could make something out of it.
Enter, the “Miss to Mrs” garland I made for the room. I used my handy-dandy Cricut machine to cut out the letters and hexagon shapes. I then glued the letters to the shapes, punched 2 holes in each hexagon and strung some thick, black ribbon. I decided to do the “to” a little different. If I did the “to” as I did the other letters, it might all run together and you’d really have to stand back to read it and figure out what it said. I free-handed the “to,” added a little bling and glued it to the ribbon. To finish the banner off, I tied cute little undies on each end :) Useful gift!
