Chocolate Hazelnut Tassies

This is the second item I baked for the bake sale. Instead of doubling the Dark Chocolate Chili Spiced Mango cookies, I decided to add a little variety to my baked goods by adding another goodie.

 

{Chocolate Hazelnut Tassies}

 

I followed this recipe and they were chocolatey, hazelnuty and Nutella-y :) I’ve never made tassies before and I have to say, I’m a fan of them. After making these I did a little “tassie research” and there are lots of different recipes.  Many sweet and many savory. A girl at the bake sale actually made something similar to this, but went the savory route- some had spinach filling, some had buffalo chicken and some had a mixture of cheeses. So yummy! The addition of her savory tassies at the bake sale were the perfect compliment to all the sweets.

 

{filling ingredients- hazelnuts are pre-chopped and I didn’t use mini chocolate chips, which ended up working out just fine}
