Salad Bar Dinner Party

March 19, 2012

My friend Natalie and I decided to host our first dinner party this past weekend and it was a success!

Natalie loves to eat on the healthier side (and, of course, I don’t object to healthy eating), so when she mentioned a salad for dinner I immediately thought of having a salad bar. It turned out to be fantastic since we had lots of toppings for everyone to customize their salad to their liking. The other girls brought wine, appetizers and desserts to complete the spread!

{Lauren made this AMAZING appetizer- fig jam, goat cheese and walnuts on a baguette}

{We had a “Pink Grapefruit Margarita” station and used this recipe. They weren’t very pink, but they were delicious!}

{beautiful hydrangea’s}

{a bottle of wine from Natalie’s wedding venue}

{Everyone enjoying themselves!}

{It wouldn’t be a dinner party without tea lights on the balcony.}

{the aftermath}

Along with the Spinach and Artisan Lettuce, our toppings were: feta cheese, pepperoncini’s, mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, cranberries, chicken, tuna, candied walnuts, hard-boiled eggs and a couple amazing Annie’s organic salad dressings… it was our very own Souplantation :)

Excited for our next dinner party! Hopefully that one will include more pictures of the PEOPLE there, not just the food.
