Valentine Candy Buffet

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours :)

I have definitely slowed down on my trek for wedding inspiration…. there are so many blogs, magazines and websites out there. To say it’s overwhelming is the understatement of the century. One thing that I kept coming back to, though, and absolutely love is a candy buffet. For a handful of reasons we’re not doing one at our wedding, but I was inspired to do a very mini candy buffet as our Valentine centerpiece.

Luckily I was smart enough to buy candy that neither Matt or I really like to ensure the “centerpiece” stays in tact for more than 3 days. I’ll probably end up recycling this candy for a Valentine project for next year.

Just a “fun” disclaimer because I feel like I need to get this off my chest since I just told you we don’t like the candies displayed here… when I bought the candy there was tons of chocolate (duh!) and normally I’m strong and I’ll walk away from the chocolate. Well, I was hungry and the mini Reese’s Peanut Butter cups called my name (they were actually YELLING my name), so I got a bag and I proceeded to eat the entire bag, except for maybe 7 or 8 (which you can see in the pictures) within 5 days. Ugh. No self-control when it comes to chocolate and peanut butter.
