Valentine + Rice Krispies

I love adding some holiday “glitz” to an everyday dessert/food item.

After finding this tutorial through Pinterest, I knew I had to make these. Here’s my Valentine spin on Rice Krispy treats!

I’ve definitely made rice krispy treats before, but I think I used too much cereal this time because they filled up the ENTIRE cake pan. They were about 2″ thick- oops.

I also used “Crispy Rice” cereal- the generic brand. They turned out just as good as the brand name. The brand-name was $4.99 per box!!! Outlandish!

*Sorry for the poor photo quality- these were taken with my iphone as I’m currently waiting on my new camera. Hopefully you notice a difference between the pics in this post (from all my posts this week and a few posts next week actually) because if you don’t, then I really don’t need to getting a new camera, do I?!
