Mani’s & Pedi’s

Thanks to Groupon we had a “Couples Mani and Pedi” date this weekend :)

Matt had never had a manicure or pedicure so when I saw this deal on Groupon (in August 2011) I bought us each one. Kinda’ sorta as a joke for Matt, but also assuming it would happen. Last week Groupon sent a friendly email reminder that they were going to expire on February 2nd so we had to get our fingers and toes done stat!

Luckily we had some pretty fantastic summer weather this past weekend- standard January weather for San Diego- 78 degrees… sorry for all you in the snow right now! It would have been weird to get a mani and pedi in the snow/rain, so it was nice that the weather cooperated for our almost-expired-Groupon’s.

Matt was a little nervous/excited before going because he didn’t know what to expect. I thought FOR SURE I would hear him giggle a lot more, but he didn’t. He’s very tickilish, so I was waiting for his pedicure to happen, but alas, no giggling.

I probably get 2 pedicures a year and 0 manicures a year. I enjoying painting my nails myself, but it’s nice to have it done because you get an awesome hand and foot massage! Here’s to our 1st pedicure of the year, because Matt will be coming again ;)
